I don't own LoU, I only watch youtube gameplay videos. If that's how you feel, you shouldn't. Those that don't feel UO Outlands is superior in all things may want to play LoU instead, if it is more suited to their taste.

WebWhen UO Outlands was in beta I advocated heavily for harsh PK punishments. Being a pk in UO should mean sacrificing A LOT. No NPC access, no town access, meaningful skill and stat gain losses from dying, etc. When you have lax PK punishments there is no reason to not pk every person you come across. Unfortunately it mostly fell on deaf ears.

It is rough starting out but it's also fun and exciting. I didn't bother with a scavenger. That doesn't sound fun tbh. Make a dexxer with healing. Either chiv dexxer or bard dexxer. I highly recommend chivalry as one of the skills for "Sacred Journey" which lets you travel to places easier. sans sitting in a recliner
